For as long as I can remember, I’ve walked around with a camera—taking pictures not because they were perfect, but because I wanted to remember what something felt like.
I didn’t learn photography by studying settings or buying gear. I learned by wandering—with a camera in my hand and a curiosity about how things look through that tiny viewfinder. That’s where it all began for me. And it’s the heart of why I created these Guided Photo Walks.
Why I Created These Walks
When I was starting out, I spent hours walking around with no plan—just taking photos, paying attention, and trying to figure out why some images felt meaningful while others fell flat. It wasn’t about perfection. It was about presence.
And now? That’s exactly what I want to share with others.
These Guided Photo Walks are for everyday people who want to take better, more meaningful photos—without becoming “photographers.” You don’t need fancy gear. You don’t need to learn every camera setting. You just need a bit of space, a nudge in the right direction, and someone to walk with you.
What They Are (And Aren’t)
These walks are not formal classes. You won’t be handed a worksheet or quizzed on settings.
And they’re not styled photoshoots, either. There’s no pressure to create something perfect.
They’re something in between—part creative recharge, part casual workshop, part walk through light and story.
We meet in Bellows Falls, VT, and walk slowly through a scenic or interesting location. I’ll guide you through small prompts and simple lessons focused on:
-
Light — how to see it and use it
-
Framing — what to include, what to leave out
-
Storytelling — how to make a photo feel like a moment, not just an image
No gear required. Phone cameras welcome. Curiosity encouraged.
Who It's For
These walks are for the people who’ve told me:
“I want to take better pictures of my everyday life—but I don’t even know where to start.”
If you’ve ever felt like your photos don’t quite match what the moment felt like—or if you just want a reason to step outside and create something—you’re invited.
How to Join
I host these walks once or twice a month, always in or around Bellows Falls. Each walk is 90 minutes long, and each one is a little different depending on the season, time and location—but the core lessons stay the same.
Spots are limited to 6–8 people. Each walk is $100, and you’ll leave with a new way of seeing and a few images that actually feel like you.

What You’ll Walk Away With
Not a certificate. Not a checklist. Just a few better photos—and a deeper understanding of how to use your eyes, your light, and your camera to tell real-life stories.
