It’s happening! The very first Guided Photo Walk is set, and I couldn’t be more excited. It’ll be happening right here in Bellows Falls on Saturday, May 10.
If you’ve ever wanted to take better photos of your life—without the pressure of learning a bunch of technical stuff or becoming a “photographer”—this was made for you.
What Is a Guided Photo Walk?
It’s not a class.
It’s not a photoshoot.
It’s a walk—with a camera.
These 90-minute walks are part creative recharge, part casual photo lesson, and part slow meander through light, texture, and everyday beauty.
May 10 is just the first of many walks I’ll be hosting around the area—each one with a similar flow, but a different location, light, and story.
We’ll walk a short, easy route through downtown Bellows Falls. Along the way, I’ll guide you through three simple themes:
- Light – Light is everything in photography. We’ll talk about how to find it, follow it, and make the whole place shimmer.
- Composition – Think of each photo like a blank space—and you get to decide what goes in the center of the story.
- Storytelling – We’ll talk about how to take photos that help you remember it all too well—not just what it looked like, but what it felt like.
There’s no right way to do it. We’ll explore, try things out, and see what shows up.
Who It’s For
You don’t need fancy gear or a creative résumé. You don’t need to be “good” at photography.
You just need:
- A phone or camera you already have
- Some comfy shoes
- And a little space to slow down and notice things
If you’ve ever said, “I want to take better pictures of my life—but I don’t even know where to start,” this is exactly for you.

A Little Bit of Backstory
I’m in my Vermont era. My teaching era. My must-share-what-I’ve-learned era.
I created these walks because they reflect how I fell in love with photography in the first place.
Not through lessons or equipment—but through wandering. Through noticing. Through learning how to pay attention in a different way.
This walk is an invitation to do that together.
Want to Join Me?
Spots are limited, and once they’re gone, they’re gone. This is the first of many—I hope—but there will only ever be one first walk.
So if this speaks to you, I’d love to have you join me. I’ll be sharing some of my favorite simple tips, answering your questions, and helping you see the everyday in a new way. This is your chance to slow down, look around, and take photos that mean something to you.
